The refractory concrete produced by Korei Refractory Materials is an amorphous refractory material that is directly used without calcination by mixing refractory aggregates, powders, and binders with water or other liquids, also known as refractory pouring materials, castables, or refractory concrete.

Refractory concrete is a non fired amorphous refractory material with a simple production process, energy saving and consumption reduction. It can be poured into kilns with special shapes and has better overall integrity than brick lining, making it suitable for mechanized construction. Standardized and reasonable construction can extend the service life of kilns and reduce the frequency of repairing damaged kiln linings.

Advantages and characteristics of refractory concrete:

1. The fire resistance is similar to that of refractory bricks of the same material. Refractory concrete is a non combustible product that undergoes significant high-temperature shrinkage for the first time. Therefore, its load softening point is slightly lower than that of refractory bricks, but overall its performance is still better than that of refractory bricks.

2. The role of refractory concrete is superior to that of low-temperature binders, with high compressive strength at room temperature. At the same time, the overall integrity of the masonry and pouring body is good, and the insulation performance of the furnace body built by masonry is good, which is not easy to produce cracks during high temperature deformation. There is no need to add furnace shell steel plates outside the insulation layer, as it is resistant to mechanical pressure and vibration and has better performance than brick concrete structures. If used on the side wall of the homogenization furnace, there is more mechanical wear and collision here, and the service life is several times longer than that of brick masonry.

3. Good thermal stability, most of the aggregate is clinker, and the expansion is offset by the shrinkage of the binder. Therefore, the thermal expansion of masonry is smaller than that of bricks, and the temperature stress is also smaller. Moreover, there are various network, needle or chain shaped crystalline phases in the structure. Strong resistance to low temperature stress. For example, it is used to cast the furnace mouth and cover of the homogenization furnace, with a service life extended to one and a half years.

4. The production process is simple, and various prefabricated blocks can be made, which can be mechanically constructed and shorten the construction period. Waste bricks can also be recycled as their aggregates, making it environmentally friendly and economical.
